Alpspitze via ferrata

The via ferrata Alpspitze is a very well secured and comparatively easy via ferrata that is particularly suitable for via ferrata beginners. It is an absolute must for every via ferrata enthusiast as it offers breathtaking views of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Werdenfelser Land and the summit of the Zugspitze.

To get to the start of the via ferrata, we use the Alpspitz cable car as an ascent aid. From the mountain station it is only about 15 minutes to the start. During the ascent, we have repeated opportunities to enjoy the view of the Höllental, the Höllentalferner, the Zugspitze and the Waxensteine. The last metres of the ascent lead us directly to the summit cross, from where we can enjoy the impressive view of the mountains to the south.

The descent leads via the beautiful east ridge and the north face climb back to the Alpspitzbahn mountain station.

• Guided tour by state-certified mountain and ski guide, optional rental equipment provided and professional organisational handling.

• Requirements:
• The walking time is 5 to 6 hours. The via ferrata is also suitable for beginners.

• Price:
• Prices for individual tours start at 490 euros. The price for group tours depends on the number of participants. As an example, the price for 4 participants is 139 euros per participant.

• Additional expenses:
• Participants must cover the costs of cable car rides, as well as other expenses themselves.
