Climbing Tour to the Small Waxenstein
An exciting and demanding alpine route. There are various ways to reach the summit of the small Waxenstein, but the most sensible is the ascent via the Mittagskar and Mandl.
After reaching the summit of the small Waxenstein, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The descent involves an impressive abseil to the Mittagsscharte. From there, take the Schafsteig towards the Riffelscharte and back to the Höllental. Late in the year, when the Höllentalangerhütte is already closed, the return route via the Riffelscharte back to the Eibsee is also a good option as it leads to the west side of the Zugspitze massif and we can then still enjoy the afternoon sun.

- Good physical condition. Some experience in alpine terrain is an advantage.
