Zugspitze-Jubiläumsgrat

Zugspitze-Jubiläumsgrat

The tour takes us to the Alpspitze, descending via the Alpspitz-Ferrata via ferrata or via the east ridge to the Alpspitzbahn mountain station. The Jubiläumsgrat is also a special experience in Winter, then usually with an overnight stay in the "Biwakschachtel".

Zugspitze-Jubiläumsgrat

The Jubiläumsgrat is a striking, narrow ridge that connects the Zugspitze with the Hochblassen. The tour is known for its breathtaking views and challenging climbing passages.

The Jubiläumsgrat is an alpine high-altitude tour and requires alpine experience, good physical condition and a head for heights. The route runs along the narrow ridge, which is exposed and steep in some places. Climbing passages in UIAA grade II to III are required to climb some peaks.

During the tour you pass several prominent peaks, including the Inner and Outer Höllentalspitze, the Zugspitze itself and the Alpspitze. The views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, such as the Höllental and the Garmisch-Partenkirchen valley, are spectacular.

The tour usually ends at the Alpspitze or you can choose to descend via the Alpspitz-Ferrata via ferrata or the normal route. From there you can either return to Garmisch-Partenkirchen with the Alpspitz cable car or descend on foot.
